At the beginning of his many volumes on World War 2, Winston Churchill writes this preface:
"How the English-speaking Peoples through their Unwisdom, Carelessness and Good Nature allowed the Wicked to Rearm."
Another personal favorite of mine is from May 13th 1940:
"Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival."

Hi, Andy, it's Emily Hurtubise!
For lent this year, I'm going to churches down at school every Sunday. So far, I've been to First Presbyterian (close to what I'm used to) and Wesley United Methodist. My dad was saying that you were involved at the Newman Center at school and that I should try it out, so I'm going on Sunday. There's so many mass times! Are they all the same?
Unfortunately, since you are young, you have gone through much of life not being able to respect most political leaders.
However, that has not always been the case and hopefully, soon, you will be able to respect some of your political leaders too.

I hope you get the messae through this... But yeah, all of the masses are the same in the essentials but the music will differ slightly.
When I was a freshman, I would go to the 9pm mass on Sunday night because it was so calming, they often have Mass with just candles lit on the sides. The 5 pm Sunday mass often has more contemporary style "praise and worship" music which some people seem to like.
Other than those minor differences, the masses are the same.
If you want, you should email my friend Megan (mzerwic2@uiuc.edu) and I'm sure she would love to go to mass with you and explain what's going on etc.

I forgot to mention, later in college I would go to the 10:30 most often, but I'm not sure how essential it is to say that....
