I've been in a "conversation" recently on a kayak forum about global warming and overpopulation. It seems that these two are inseparable to those who push the ideas. The earth is warming due to increased population. The solution is reduce the population. Wonderful...
As far as what I've seen, both are just a push against life because it comes from a fat, technologically developed, western civilization mentality. Sure, one does not have to go far to see the effects of irresponsibility and the damage it is causing, but this global warming/overpopulation fiasco does little to nothing to address this real problem. However, the argument is that the earth is warming because of man's actions so the solution is to decrease the population.
Sounds to me to be on the same track as this so called "health-care reform" nonsense: it's a Planned Parenthood/abortion industry bailout that in the end just pads the pockets of some government bureaucrats.
